Helpings Cafe  - Final Ad Copy

There are many great restaurants to support in the Valley, but only Helpings Café provides a healthy, delicious dining experience while helping people get back on their feet. The café is located at UMOM New Day Center, the largest family homeless shelter in Phoenix, at 33rd St. and East Van Buren.
UMOM wanted to do more to help the 150 families who reside at New Day Centers to get on their feet while simultaneously serving the community, so they renovated a vacant, severely-dated restaurant and created Helpings Café. The Café provides much needed job skills training and experience to New Day Center residents, and by opening a small market at the end of the month, will also provide access to fresh groceries food for residents and locals who can use their SNAP (food stamp) benefits.
“The renovation happened because of hundreds of hours donated by local volunteers like designer Beth Katz of KatzDesignGroup,” says Kate Thoene, Chief Social Enterprise Officer. “With their help we created an updated space that appeals to everyone.”
With just one UMOM employee as manager and Barista Trainer, all Café operations are executed by program participants, including offering a full range of Starbucks Coffee drinks (thanks to strong training and product support from Starbucks). After the 6-week barista and customer service training, or the 9-week program for prep and line cooks, participants have the skills and resume to be able to apply for jobs that can provide a livable wage.
“Every purchase helps to end family homelessness and helps people gain the skills they need to get a job,” says Thoene, “…all while serving amazing food! Everything is so good and made from scratch—including our bread which is baked fresh daily.”
The café is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm, but if you’re not in the area, you can still take advantage of their catering service. Boxed lunches and sandwich trays are available for delivery Valley-wide.

Delete Tattoo - Final Ad Copy

Perhaps it was a gesture of commitment to a relationship that has since dissolved. Maybe you were young and made a choice you regret, or you need to maintain a certain image for your career, or you just don’t see yourself in the same way anymore. Whatever the reason, every day you are stuck with a tattoo that doesn’t represent where you are in your life—but who wants to go through the pain and expense of tattoo removal?
Dr. Jen Mundt, Medical Director at Delete Tattoo, is here to tell you, “it doesn’t have to hurt.” Tattoo removal is done over a series of about ten sessions, depending on the type of tattoo and ink used. Many people purchase packages from fly-by-night laser removal businesses, and then end up quitting the process after one or two sessions because it is too painful. At Delete Tattoo, the procedure is performed by qualified, caring doctors, so they can numb the area prior to the laser procedure, making the process much more comfortable and easier to complete.
Delete Tattoo also makes sure that removing your tattoo doesn’t hurt your bank account either. In addition to their already affordable prices, they have spent over two years creating their patented 4-N-1™ treatment option that can reduce the overall length of treatment time by up to two months.
So how can you get started? First, call for a free consultation at their hip, comfortable office in Central Phoenix. During your meeting with Dr. Mundt or Dr. Ashley Chung they’ll determine a personalized treatment plan and provide you with a cost estimate. You’ll also discuss your overall health, because “the healthier you are, the faster your ink will disappear.” There is no pressure to purchase treatments or packages, but if you choose to proceed, they’ll continue customizing your plan with treatment options and supplements to ensure the best possible outcome.
Having a tattoo removed by someone who isn’t entirely qualified or doesn’t have state of the art laser technology could mean that the tattoo isn’t fully removed or, worse yet, leave you with ugly scarring. The staff at Delete Tattoo is highly skilled, with the most technologically advanced laser equipment and over four years of dedicated experience, so you can be sure that you are getting the best service at the best prices in a comfortable, caring environment. The number of long-term clients they have and the referrals they receive from both plastic surgeons and tattoo artists reflect the quality of their work and their commitment to customer satisfaction.
If you have a tattoo that, for whatever reason, no longer represents who you are or doesn’t fit your current lifestyle, pay a visit to locally-owned Delete Tattoo. Owner Marci Zimmerman and her staff are committed to treating you honestly and respectfully, making sure that you’ll receive the best possible care, for the best possible outcome. With less painful, affordable tattoo removal, you have the power to change your body and your life—view all of their services at www.deleteitnow.com and call today to schedule your free consultation.
