Add a little play to your next event!

My life journey has made me a play warrior—an outspoken and authentic advocate for play across the lifespan. I believe that play has the power to change us individually and to change our communities...and in doing so, can change the world.

"I know I came in late and thank you for putting me right back into the fold. I know that I gave you feedback in person but I really want to say that I enjoyed this workshop.

My biggest complaint about workshops similar to this is that there is a lot of standing around explaining rules asking and answering questions and there was none of that with this one. I had the opportunity to talk to the people I was working with and work things out with them and I felt like that was valuable time getting to know people and try things.  I would say there was a complete lack of focus on doing things right and it allowed everyone to soar and be themselves. Could have done another hour. Awesome work. Great facilitation. Really a lot of fun."

I did not choose play, play chose me.

As I have researched adult play and social transformation for the past three years, I have become an outspoken advocate for the importance of play.

People are hungry for play. It is fun. It is good news. It is a lost part of ourselves with which we are longing to reconnect. Groups, especially women's groups, have been intrigued to learn more about the importance of play and how to have more of it in our lives.

I am a passionate speaker, and very "what-you-see-is-what-you-get." For me, speaking engagements are about play. If I show up and am only concerned about myself (Will I do a good job? What people will think?) it leaves very little room for anything magical to take place. When I show up with a spirit of PLAY—then WE get to create something wonderful together!
